Sunday’s are for trail runs. Fitness doesn’t always need to be within the gym. I personally love trail runs on the weekend. I find they are an immediate mood booster to kick off the week.
Today’s run clocked a round trip of 6.7 miles. Bear Canyon Loop Trail is a moderately trafficked loop trail located near Lake Elsinore, California that features a river and is rated as moderate. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
We ran Bear Canyon Trail to the top of 4 corners, about 3.5 miles. You have the option to run Bear Canyon trail back to Ortega HWY. Today we opted to run back down Bear Ridge Trail. I highly recommend this. It’s a great loop and the view on Bear Ridge Trail are outstanding.
We ran most of this trail. It is an unstable trail with rocks so please be careful.
Following the run we stopped at The Trough Sandwich Kitchen for a great sandwich. Highly recommend this spot! Its located about 25 minutes from the trail. https://www.thetroughsandwichkitchen.com/
